The Hop Bangkok invites international swing dance teachers for a residency of 1 to 4 weeks. We provide the stage, the community, and a place to call home.

What’s Included:

Accommodation

Private studio apartment for two, for the duration of your stay.

Free Practice Time

Full access to our dance floors between scheduled bookings.

​

Promotion to 350+ Dancers

The Hop will share approved materials across Instagram, Facebook, and our LINE community chat.

Weekly Socials

Free entry to both weekly social dance nights — Tuesday and Saturday.
 

Private class studio rental: ฿400/hour (max 1 couple)
The lesson fee is entirely yours to set and keep.

Choose Your Residency Model

We offer two models. Both give you free accommodation and free practice time. The difference is how you handle the class space and income.

​

Option A: Revenue Share

The Hop provides free accommodation and free studio space for your group classes.

Class income is split 50/50.

Zero upfront cost, zero financial risk. You only share income when students show up.

This option is ideal for a first visit to Bangkok.

Option B: Your Event

You pay The Hop for accommodation and studio time, and keep 100% of your class income.

Best for teachers expecting strong attendance, where retaining the full income outweighs the fixed costs.

Accommodation: ฿1,000/day
Studio rental for classes: ฿1,200/hour
Practice time: Free

Residency Program Requirements

Residency artists are responsible for preparing content and promotion materials, including:

• Poster information

• Class and workshop details

• Video promo content

​

The Hop will share the approved materials through our channels.

For a one-week stay, residency artists are expected to offer at least one weekend program with a minimum of 2 teaching days and 3–4 workshops/classes.

​

Program requirements for longer stays can be discussed based on the artist’s schedule, class format, and studio availability.

​

Please contact us with about 1 month’s notice before your preferred residency period, so we can check studio availability and prepare promotion properly.​
